Agency wins slew of awards capped off with best in show distinction for el Jimador’s “Day of the Dead” creative

Louisville, KY – February 26, 2018 – Kentucky’s largest advertising agency and one of the nation’s largest private ad firms, Scoppechio, won the pinnacle distinction of “Best in Show” at Louisville’s 2018 American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards held on Friday, February 23 at the historic Henry Clay venue in Louisville.

Scoppechio walked away with the top award of the night, for video content created on behalf of Brown-Forman’s el Jimador Tequila as a part of its “World’s Largest Day of the Dead Toast” ad campaign. “The video is unique in that it features an innovative technique that fuses 3D character animation with handcrafted miniaturized sets,” said Stephen Childress, Chief Creative Officer of Scoppechio. “The campaign also featured multiple pieces of social and video content as well as a Facebook Live event activated in Houston that supported the promotional period,” added Childress.

In addition to its Best in Show recognition as well as another Silver award for its Brown-Forman work, Scoppechio also received Gold placement for its Kentucky Travel & Tourism (KT&T), MegaViewer experiential marketing effort and a Silver distinction for LongHorn Steakhouse in-restaurant advertising design work.

The agency’s Brown-Forman and KT&T work will now move on to compete at the regional level of the ADDY Awards against winning creative from other agencies. “It’s particularly gratifying to have work recognized that genuinely helped meet the business goals of our clients,” said Jerry Preyss, Chief Executive Officer of Scoppechio. “That’s our primary goal and any recognition that comes beyond advancing their business standing is just icing on the cake,” added Preyss.
