Scoppechio, Kentucky’s largest advertising firm and one of the country’s leading independent marketing services agencies, has hired Michael Welch as its new Vice President of Media Strategy & Operations. Welch will oversee the agency’s media planning and buying activities, helping brands distribute content effectively across a myriad of communications channels.

Originally from Cincinnati and a graduate of University of Evansville in Indiana, Welch’s hire comes with 25 years of experience within media and full-service advertising agencies at shops in Chicago and Cincinnati, including DDB, JWT, OMD and Empower. He has worked on a range of brands during his tenure such as Fifth Third Bank, US Bank, Bush Brothers Baked Beans, Dell Computers, Honey Baked Ham, Nortel and CompuServe.
