“No Weekend Plans” Campaign a Win for Scoppechio, and the Commonwealth

LOUISVILLE – May 23, 2016 – In 2015, Scoppechio launched the “No Weekend Plans” campaign for the Kentucky Department of Travel & Tourism helping the state realize a $13.7 billion economic impact from tourism – the strongest overall numbers in the past 10 years. In addition to the strong economic impact, the tourism industry helped support over 186,000 jobs, while creating an additional 6,200 in 2015.

“The ‘No Weekend Plans’ campaign took the brand from a slow-paced, pastoral feel to more energetic, youthful and experiential,” said Shayne Brill, Account Supervisor with Scoppechio.

Over the next year innovative creative and marketing campaigns will aim at drawing new audiences to the Commonwealth, while positioning the state as a top travel destination in the U.S.

Scoppechio has led the marketing efforts for the Travel and Tourism Department since 2014 and will continue to provide marketing strategy and guidance.
