Louisville, KY – June 29, 2017 – Scoppechio is deeply saddened to announce that our founder and chairman, Debbie Scoppechio peacefully passed away at age 68 on Thursday, June 29.

Debbie truly loved life, loved the business and loved her agency.

It was her passion for the ad business that drove her to create her own shop in 1987, then known as Creative Alliance. She grew the agency from a three-person company to one of the largest independent agencies in the country, and a Top 100 national agency, now with over 170 employees.

Throughout her career, Debbie’s highly profiled business achievements earned her numerous honors, including Doctor’s Ball Community Leader of the Year award, Top Kentucky Woman Business Owner of the Year, only the second woman ever to be inducted into the Kentucky Business Hall of Fame, the Bittners Award for Historic Preservation by Whitehall House and Gardens, Business Leader of the Year by Business First, Heart of the Community Award by Women 4 Women, and an Entrepreneurial Excellence award from Working Woman magazine, among many other prestigious recognitions.

She was proud to serve the Louisville community through her positions on numerous boards including Greater Louisville Inc., Metro Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, University of Louisville Board of Overseers, Louisville Metro Police Foundation, and Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Debbie served as inspiration to all who met her. Her passion and fierce dedication to service will never be forgotten. Scoppechio sends thoughts to her dedicated and loving husband, Rick Duffy, who was her guiding light.

A celebration honoring her life will be announced soon. Cheers to you, Debbie.
